Job description

Being part of the mining operations team, the truck operator will transport rock using an underground haulage truck, delivering ore, waste or cement from a loading point to a drop-off point.

Main tasks

• Respect safety standards at all times;
• Inspect the equipment before starting the shift;
• Inspect the workplace, the loading point and the drop-off point;
• Use and complete his work card throughout the shift;
• rate mining equipment;
• Transport the load to the drop-off point;
• Unload the load at the drop-off point according to the requirement;
• Inspect the equipment at the end of the shift so that it is operational for the next shift;
• Fill out the work card at the end of the shift;
• Any other related tasks.

Requirements

• Underground hard rock common core in Ontario;
• Hold a valid explosive license;
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role;
• Hold a high school diploma or other equivalent degree;
• Fluent in English is required.
