Job description
Being part of the operations team, the supervisor will organize and supervise the underground construction, development and production groups. He will be in charge of the quality control of the workplace and enforce a good health and safety practice.
Main tasks
- Respect safety standards at all times;
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the workers for whom he is responsible;
- Resolve the difficulties inherent to the work and recommend measures respecting the 4 axes (Health and safety, Quality, Equipment, Productivity);
- Make sure that the deficiencies requested by the client, the health and safety service and / or the CNESST are carried out;
- Complete job tasks and observations in conjunction with the health and safety team (carry out prevention activities);
- Balancing the workforce to ensure safe and productive work;
- Provide as required to his supervisor the daily reports of operations, timesheets, performance reports, equipment hours and requisitions;
- Depending on the workforce, identify the need for equipment and tools necessary for the proper functioning of the job;
- Any other related tasks.
Requirements
- Underground hard rock common core in Ontario;
- Hold a valid explosive license;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role;
- Hold a high school diploma or other equivalent degree;
- Fluent in English is required.
